200.000€ of jewels stolen from two British tourists

A pair of British tourists have suffered a brutal beating at the hands of several thieves in a pub in Benidorm, who then stole their money and several items of jewellery worth a total of 200,000 euros.

The National Police have arrested a person of Dominican nationality as an alleged perpetrator of the robbery, after a search of his home, where they located three of the gems.

The pieces recovered were two large necklaces and a gold cross.

The detainee (IS), has been  arrested several times for robbery, causing injury, assault andother offences.
