Body of elderly man found in Guadalquivir river, Seville

The body of a man in his 80´s has been dragged from the waters of the Guadalquivir River in Seville, at Paseo de Colón, in front of the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza.

According to Emergency Services, a telephone call was received at 08:04, reporting that a body was floating on the water. Ten minutes later, firefighters were already at the scene and commenced the removal of the body.

No details on the identity of the deceased are know at this time, or if the death occurred by drowning or other causes. An investigation is being carried out.
