Recent rainfall will improve the quality of fruits and vegetables

Recent rains in the province of Alicante have reached up to 30 liters per square meter, which will improve the quality of fruits and vegetables, according to the ASAJA.

Precipitation has especially benefited crops of cereals, vegetables and citrus fruits, as these plantations “were at the limit of their endurance because of the drought this winter.”

The rains have come at a perfect time for fruit and vegetable growers as they are currently cultivating the fields, which help to slow the ripening process, resulting in a higher quality produce.
