The State Agency of Meteorology (AEMET) activated the yellow alert on Fridayin twelve regions for risk of rains and snowfall, which could be up to 15 inches in areas like the Pyrenees or the Navarre Huesca.
Also, snow could accumulate in Cantabria of up to five centimeters thick in the area of the Ebro and Liébana well as in inland areas of the Basque Country, where they could reach one inch. The Navarrese and Aragonese Pyrenees are the most affected areas, where snow could reach 15 centimeters thick.
