Huge fines for messing the streets of Valencia
In new laws that have been approved in Valencia, messing up the streets could result in huge fines ranging from 750 euro up to 3.000 euro.
Dog walkers who fail to clean up theirdogs little gifts, people who throw chewing gum onto the street, even those who drop litter may be targetted by a new undercover team which is set to clean up the streets and reverse the trend of causing an antisocial problem that these selfish people often cause.
Cleaning the city costs the public some 70 million euro per year. It is hoped that the new team of 25 inspectors may not only significantly reduce this cost, but may in fact be able to create an income to support the cleaning up of the mess left behind.
