A male of 26 years of age died on Wednesday afternoon after being stabbed in a street by another man, in Vecindario, Gran Canaria, according to sources at the 112 control centre.

The victim died after suffering multiple wounds from a knife, after being stabbed by another male for reasons that are still unknown.

The incident occurred at 19:13 on avenida La Unión  in the municipality of Santa Lucía.

Upon arrival at the scene an ambulance from the Servicio de Urgencias Canario (SUC), found that the victim had suffered a cardiac arrest, likely to be as a result of his injuries,  and could not do anything to save his life.
