Plane crash La PalmaTwo people have died today in a plane crash in the municipality of La Palma. The aircraft crashed 17 minutes after taking off from the airport of the island, according to sources from the Government of the Canaries.

The plane model PECNAM-96 GOLF with registration FEC-SKM, had left the airport in Gran Canaria at 11:25 hours, and landed at La Palma at 13:37 on the first leg of the trip.

The plane then took off from the airport of La Palma at 14:13 and crashed into a farm in the town of La Tajuya, in the municipio palmero de El Paso.

Sources of the Coordinating Center for Emergency and Security 112 and the Guardia Civil have confirmed the death of the two occupants of the plane but have not identified them.

The call to the emergency services was received at 14:40 reporting the crash and also reporting that the plane did not cause any explosion.
