Benidorm hotels getting busy

Benidorm hotel occupancy for the first fortnight of July is between 65 and 70 percent thanks to “last minute” bookings, according to the president of the Business Association of Hoteliers in Benidorm and the Costa Blanca (Hosbec), Toni mayor.

However, the president noted that “much remains to be sold in August and for the second half of July”.

In the case of the UK market, Mayor noted that “we’re selling normal” for the time of year.

Mayor has made these statements after the signing of an agreement between Hosbec and Patronato Provincial de Turismo de la Costa Blanca, whereby the latter provides 100.000 euro to promote Benidorm, which is already underway.

For its part, the director general of the Board, Gema Amor, noted that the summer campaign is “uncertain” for the Costa Blanca and will rely on last-minute reservations.

Amor has been convinced that the recent campaigns are implemented to yield a positive result because the Costa Blanca offers unbeatable value for money.
