The Alicante Provincial Court will pass judgement tomorrow in a case that began when a man believed to engage the sexual services of a prostitute found that it was actually a transvestite.

The prosecutor requested prison sentences for BOTH parties, three and a half years for the client and two and a half and two and a half for the transvestite, because of the injuries they both sustained upon discovering the truth of the situation.

The incident occurred at 06:00 on August 27, 2007 when the client, a 35 year old Algerian named Mr Hakim, contracted the Ecuadorian prostitute transvestite Kleyni Hannibal LL of 32 years of age, when the latter worked as a prostitute in the Avenida de Elche in the city of Alicante.

According to the prosecutor, both agreed to move to the home of the prostitute in avenida de Jijona, in order to have more privacy. Once there Hakim found that the prostitute was in fact a transvestite.

An argument then started because the customer refused to pay for the service and a fight started until the police arrived, who were called by a neighbour who heard the shouting.

Hakim beat the prostitute, dragged him along the ground by the hair, beat him in the face and breasts and bit of part of his ear. Hakim also stabbed the prostitute several times with a large kitchen knife. The recovery process lasted 455 days, 90 of which were in hospital.

For his part, the transvestite also used the same kitchen knife to make several incisions in the leg of the client, which also caused after effects.

In addition to imprisonment, the prosecutor asks the client to compensate the transvestite with 16.350 euro for injuries, with 2.500 more for stress afterwards, 8.000 for aesthetic damage, as well as the costs of surgical interventions that accrued, comprising of reconstruction of the nose and breast.

There are also other costs in discussion from both parties in this unique case.
The trial is to be held tomorrow from 10:00 in the Third Division of the Provincial Court of Alicante.
