A potentially horrific accident near Lorca, in which an articulated lorry collided with a Guardia Civil vehicle, has produced a rather dramatic image.

Fortunately, neither truck driver nor the two occupants of the patrol car were seriously injured in the incident.

A preliminary investigation suggests that the accident happened because the truck driver failed to see the Guardia Civil vehicle and could not stop in time, this resulting in the cab of the truck mounting the police car and pushing it for over 200 metres.
