An elderly couple have been found dead in their home at Malaga today, in an apparent case of domestic violence.

The women, a 66 year old with the initials AEEV, was found with knife wounds to her neck. The man, a 71 year old with the initials MVC, was then found hanging in the basement of the house which they shared at number 58 of calle Villa Baja.

Neighbours found the body of the woman, along with a bloody sheet and immediately called the police. There is no history of recorded violence between the couple and no previous complaints have been made by either party.

Initial reports suggest that the husband may have killed the wife, then took his own life. However, an investigation is being carried out to confirm the circumstances surrounding the event.
