Moscow bound flight in emergency landing in Italy
A VIM Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration RA-73017 performing flight NN-7722 from Alicante to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia), with 225 passengers on board, made an emergency landing in Rimini (Italy), after the crew received a fire indication for the right hand engine.
The crew decided to shut the engine down and divert the plane, where they landed safely.
Passengers reported, that they saw a bright flash of light from the right hand engine.
A replacement aircraft has been dispatched to Rimini.
