Cocentaina and its Fira de Tots Sants
Thanks to King Peter IV, also known as Peter the Ceremonious, for over 600 years Cocentaina has been celebrating its traditional Fira de Tots Sants. Every year, thousands of people wander around its streets searching for traditional crafts, farming machinery, typical products or simply to enjoy the attractions and shows that will be getting underway on 30th October and coming to an end on 1st November.
Make the most of any opportunity to stroll around the villages, towns and cities of the Region of Valencia. The fair will be officially opened at around 10.30 a.m. on Friday. Just a few minutes later, Les Trobes de la Taranta will perform a short dramatised concert and that same evening, the rhythm of Pau Alabajos will inaugurate Fira Rock. On Saturday, there will be Valencian pelota matches, shooting and hauling exhibitions, traditional batucada music and spectacles that will share the limelight with a fantastic firework display, which will be getting underway at 9.00 p.m. in the Avenida Ferrocarril boulevard.
