Authorities say an Air Berlin plane headed for Spains Canary Islands has come off the runway at Dortmund airport but no one was injured.

Dortmund airport said on its Web site that the accident happened at 7:05 a.m. 0605GMT Sunday.

It said there were 165 passengers on board the plane.

It said the passengers were uninjured and would continue their journey to Las Palmas from a nearby airport.

Dortmund airport was closed to allow for the aircrafts recovery.
