Globespan legal action comes to court
The collapse of Globespan will be examined by a High Court judge on Tuesday.
The administrators of the Edinburgh-based travel firm have raised a legal action against the company that dealt with it´s online ticket sales.
Globespan collapsed in December, leaving an estimated 3,400 holidaymakers stranded in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Egypt.
However, the firm later claimed it had never received around £35 million for tickets bought online.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has now raised legal action against payment firm E-clear.
The case reached the High Court last week but was adjourned after a brief hearing.
Mr Justice Floyd, sitting in London, agreed to halt the hearing for a week to give E-Clear more time to respond.
The judge also ordered E-Clear to provide details of its assets, which will be disposed off prior to legal proceedings.
Claims that E-Clear owed £35 million to the collapsed travel firm will be heard by another Judge, Mr Justice Vos, on Tuesday.
