Minister for Europe opens UK-Spain business roundtable

Minister for Europe Chris Bryant delivered the opening speech at the European Government and Business Roundtable 2010, hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain.

Business leaders from the UK and Spain attended the event, which took place on the 8 February at the Palace of Westminster.

The roundtable, which coincides with the Spanish Presidency of the EU, was designed to forge stronger business links between the UK and Spain by providing an overview of UK, Spanish and EU business policy, and highlighting investment opportunities in both countries. There are currently 1750 UK owned businesses in the Iberian peninsula and 300 Spanish companies in the UK.

British Minister for Trade and Investment, Lord Mervyn Davies and Silvia Iranzo, the Spanish Minister for commerce also spoke at the event.
