Two youths arrested in connection with death of Brit on Tenerife
The Guardia Civil have arrested two juveniles on suspicion of the death of a British man in southern Tenerife.
The Latin Americans, aged just 14 and 16, are accused of a crime of homicide.
One youth was arrested at 17:00 yesterday and the other at 22:30 hours and are still in the custody of the Guardia Civil.
Peter Cockshutt, 71, was found dead in a pool of blood at his Spanish villa during the day on Monday in an apartment on the Costa del Silencio area in the municipality of Arona, south of the island of Tenerife.
The body was discovered by the owner of the apartment where he lived on a rental basis. Rooms inside the home were disturbed, prompting officers to consider that robbery was the original motive of the suspects.
The Forensic Anatomical Institute carried out an autopsy on the dead man.
