Santiago Dominguez Olveira, deputy mayor of Vigo, Spain, just opened a WiMax network that serves public spaces and municipal facilities in Case Vello and other parts of the city. There will now be a total of 14 points with Internet access in Vigo.
Implemented through Plan E, the network has a budget of 750,000 euros and will be another tool used to revitalize the historic area of the city with restoration of buildings and installation of new services.
