MURDER VICTIM IN CAR BOOT

A Renault Laguna belonging to a resident of Coín who reported it stolen at the start of the year revealed a grizzly secret when it was found last week. The body of a man, thought to be about 65 years old, was found in the boot of the car in Marbella on Friday after police were alerted by a member of the public who noticed the strong smell coming from the vehicle which was parked in Nueva Andalucía.

In a statement from the provincial police station, the coroner announced that the body showed ‘signs of extreme violence' and was in an advanced state of decomposition which had made the job of finding out who the man was, and what had happened to him all the more difficult.
Police stated that the killer had so far got away with the crime but evidence was sure to be discovered that would lead them towards the murderer.

Marbella police are continuing with their investigations, and are still to identify the victim but are hopeful of doing so in the next few days.
