In the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife; a 3 year old was killed by a “pit bull” dog that bit the child in the neck. The child was taken to University Hospital of Our Lady of La Candelaria alive, but died a few hours later.

The was owned by father of the child and the attack occurred within the family home, located in the suburb of La Gallega, at 15:30 hours on Monday.

The animal will be “isolated” until a court rules on the case said a spokesman from Hostel Valle Colino district in Santa Cruz, where the pit bull is incarcerated.
