Old Argentine lady deported and mistreated

Luisa Ormeño, 72, decided to travel to Spain to visit her daughter and grandchildren living in Madrid, but when she arrived at Barajas airport, was deported because the letter of recommendation she had didn’t work because it was a fax copy.

Mrs. Ormeño ensures that met all the requirements for entering the European country, even she went to the Spanish Consulate in Cordoba, before her trip, to get all the information.

She departed for Spain on an Aerolineas Argentinas flight to spend three months in Madrid, but at the airport, Migrations held her in a room completely isolated, without food or medication that the woman needed for her heart problem.

After nearly a day to be held there, a police officer escorted her to the plane that brought her back to Argentina.

Luisa could not see her grandchildren, or her daughter. She is now very depressed by the situation that she lived and does not want to talk about it.

From the Spanish Consulate in Cordoba, authorities said they never had told the woman that a faxed letter was valid, people always need the original.
