FUENGIROLA OFFERS TO REPAY DEBT WITH LAND
The Town Hall of Fuengirola agreed at meeting last week that they should pay the debt they have accumulated over the past two years by handing over plots of land to the national government.
The PP run Fuengirola Town Hall has a debt of 1.1 million euros which they owe to the Central Administration. They blame the bad state of affairs on Zapatero´s government´s mishandling of financial matters, when in 2008 the Socialists refused to admit that the country was in the midst of a crisis.
Mayoress Esperanza Oña believes that Fuengirola should repay the money owed in the form of land. Otherwise the Town Hall will find itself unable to offer the services it has been offering its citizens for years.
