ALBOX RBL ANNOUNCE SOCIAL CALENDAR

At the recent committee meeting of the Albox Branch of The Royal British Legion Bob Cowan, Social Manager, announced more details of the proposed packed social calendar for 2012. As well as the Murder Mystery evening on the 25th February at La Parrilla Hotel & Restaurant in Albox Main Square (tickets 11 € members & 12 € non-members to include a chicken & chips meal) and the already announced trip to Alicante on the 21st March (details below) he announced that he was also looking at the Tennis club as a possible venue for a summer BBQ and Treasure Hunt to finish with BBQ and he is also awaiting a price from local venues for a Quiz night in April. On Saturday June the 9th they will be having a Queens Diamond Jubilee Dinner and Dance, again to be held at La Parrilla. He has booked Brendon O'Dee as the star act. More details to follow. It is also intended to separate the Poppy Dinner and Dance from the lunch after the Remembrance Service as it was thought they were too close together last year. Another innovation which is being implemented is to have three stalls for the next Coffee Morning on top of the usual book stalls and poppy stalls. This is to be held on the 2nd February and will make a visit well worthwhile. Like all of the Albox monthly meetings (coffee morning 1st Thursday of the month and Main meeting 3rd Thursday of the month) it will be held at La Parrilla, starting at 10.30 a.m. On top of this, there will be the usual monthly Quiz night at Le Panto Bar on the 1st Monday of each month starting at 8.00 p.m. and the Keep Fit Club each Monday morning at Sophias Wellness Centre in Arboleas starting at 11.00 a.m. And if that's not enough, there will also be regular
